Who handles your data
The controller of the personal data collected through this site is BPF LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in the state of Wyoming, United States.
We operate 100% online, with no physical walk-in office. You can contact us about anything regarding your data at support@instanthandbook.com.
This policy applies to our corporate site and to the digital book sales sites operated by BPF LLC.
02 — Data
What data we collect
- Data you give us. Name, email address and, if you provide it, phone number, when completing a purchase or a contact form.
- Transaction data. Product purchased, amount, currency, date, country and payment status.
- Your card details. These are processed directly by the payment platform. We do not receive them, we do not see them and we do not store them. From the processor we receive only the payment confirmation and, at most, the last four digits and the card brand, in order to identify the transaction and handle refunds.
- Technical browsing data. IP address, approximate country, device and browser type, pages visited and traffic source, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications. The content of the messages you send us by email, so we can provide support and keep a record of what was done.
We do not deliberately request or process special categories of data, such as health information, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
03 — Purpose
What we use it for
- Process your payment and deliver the digital product you bought.
- Provide support, answer your questions and handle your guarantee or refund request.
- Send you communications related to your purchase, such as the access email or notices about the material.
- Send you news and offers about our products, only if you gave us your consent. You can unsubscribe whenever you want, from the link at the bottom of each email or by writing to us.
- Measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and improve our site and our products.
- Prevent fraud, abuse and improper chargebacks, and protect the security of the transaction.
- Comply with our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We process your data because it is necessary to perform the sales contract, because you gave us your consent in the case of marketing communications and non-essential cookies, because there is a legitimate interest in preventing fraud and improving our services, or because a legal obligation requires it.
04 — Third parties
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to third parties so they can advertise other companies' products to you. We only share it with providers that allow us to deliver the service, and only for that purpose:
- Payment processors, including Stripe, to charge your purchase, verify the transaction and handle refunds.
- Email and product delivery providers, to get you access to the material and provide support.
- Advertising and analytics platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which receive browsing and conversion data through cookies and tracking pixels.
- Infrastructure and web hosting providers, which store the data on our behalf.
- Public authorities, when a rule or a valid legal requirement obliges us to.
We require all our providers to process the data according to our instructions and to apply adequate protection measures.
05 — Transfers
International transfers
BPF LLC is based in the United States and several of our providers operate servers in different countries. For that reason, if you buy from outside the United States, your data will be transferred and processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
Where the transfer involves people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or on another recognised safeguard mechanism, which our providers have built into their terms of service.
06 — Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies
We use first-party and third-party cookies so the site works properly, to remember your preferences, to understand how people browse and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
- Essential. Needed for the site and the purchase process to work. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics. They tell us which pages are visited and how, in aggregate form, so we can improve the site.
- Advertising. Meta and Google pixels that allow us to measure conversions and show relevant ads.
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings, and turn off personalised advertising from each platform's ad preferences. If you block essential cookies, some site functions may stop working properly.
07 — Retention
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have access to the product and we maintain a relationship with you. Billing and transaction data is kept for the period required by applicable legal, accounting and tax obligations, which as a rule is not less than seven years.
Data used to send you marketing communications is kept until you withdraw your consent. Once those periods have passed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
08 — Security
How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure: encryption of the site traffic, restricted access to information, and providers that meet recognised security standards. Payments are processed in PCI DSS compliant environments.
No system is infallible. If a security breach were to occur that significantly affects your data, we will notify you and inform the competent authorities within the deadlines set by applicable law.
09 — Rights
What you can ask us for
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us at any time for:
- Access. To know what data of yours we hold and obtain a copy.
- Rectification. To correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure. To delete your data, where we are not required to keep it by a legal obligation.
- Portability. To receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Objection and restriction. To object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it.
- Withdrawal of consent. To unsubscribe from our marketing communications, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise them, write to us at support@instanthandbook.com from the email address you used for the purchase. We respond within the deadlines set by applicable law and, in any case, within 30 days. Exercising these rights is free of charge.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of your country if you believe we are handling your data improperly.
If you are a California resident, you have the rights granted by the CCPA/CPRA: to know what personal information we collect and for what purposes, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them. BPF LLC does not sell or share personal information in the sense those laws give to those terms.
10 — Minors
Children
Our products are intended for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If we find that we have received a minor's data without the authorisation of whoever holds parental responsibility, we delete it. If you believe this has happened, write to us and we will resolve it.
11 — Changes
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, our providers or applicable law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its last updated date. If the change is substantial, we will communicate it through the contact details we hold.
